We are glad that 1st of June is coming soon for it is a special day for the children. This year too, Young Dorcas in collaboration with Cluj Napoca’s City Hall, organizes a series of events in the center of the town. But, details about this event will be given at the right moment.
Till then, we would like to share with you the experience that Cristiana Oprean had last year:
“Young Dorcas volunteers had again the chance to serve the children with gladness and love. On 1st of June they spent a time full of joyfulness celebrating the Children’s Day, of course together with the children. And because the volunteers are not children anymore, they took the responsibility to organize the activities for the little children. So there had been a series of workshops in the Museum Square from Cluj Napoca town. We all can say that the most appreciated workshop was the face painting one. But a great success had also the workshops of balloon works, clay works, drawing and origami.
The contest “Children got talent” gathered all the little ones with their great talents and the rewards were accordingly. Young Dorcas volunteers put on stage their talents by acting in front of the children the poem “A small worm” by Costache Ioanid.
In the afternoon, the joyful time of playing moved to the Central Park, where the volunteers organized the Treasure hunt contest. The final goal was the great treasure from the end of the line, but we hope that the children who attended to it as well as the volunteers will live and will fight for the inestimable Treasure of Lord Jesus Christ throughout the whole line of their lives.”
